I picked this book up on a whim thinking it would be great since it was written by a women was a writer for Frasier. And who doesn't love Frasier, am I right?
Well, this book was nothing even close to the stellar writing of Frasier. The writing was juvenile at best and filled with the most atrociously sexist language towards and about women, some of it even uttered by the main character - Nola. There were references to things like teenage boys punching each other in the balls, and all sorts of references that I would have expected to be in a book written for 12 year old boys.
Not only was the language sexist and juvenile, the characters were underdeveloped and had about as much depth as my pinky finger. The book would have been much better had the author taken time to actually develop her characters so that they focused on more than just, you know, being almost 40!
The mystery itself was also ridiculously easy to figure out, if you paid any attention to the book whatsoever. There was no real mystery to this mystery.
Save your time and pick up a different book instead.

Blech, I'll pass. It sounded kind of interesting from the synopsis, and I enjoy a quick mindless mystery read, but this won't make it on the list!
